Heliophanus flavipes is widely distributed in southern Britain but scarce in the North. It prefers sunny habitats and has been found more frequently inland in Cornwall than Heliophanus cupreus. Heliophanus flavipes appears to be common in Cornwall although it has not yet been recorded from the Isles of Scilly.
