Tibellus oblongus is common in southern Britain although there are fewer records from the west than from the east. The species generally occurs among long grass in dry or wet habitats where it is very well camouflaged. Curiously, all the records from Cornwall (bar one) have been from Vice County 1. Tibellus oblongus will surely turn up at many more sites in the future.
