Haplodrassus signifer is widespread in Britain but is only locally common. It is found under stones and surface debris and at the bases of grass tussocks. Haplodrassus signifer is known from only four tetrads in Cornwall. Records from Kynance Cove and Chapel Porth date from the late 1960s and early 1970s. However the species has been found within the past five years at Hell Bay on Bryher, Isles of Scilly, and at Loe Bar.
