Clubiona neglecta has a scattered distribution in Britain. Its typical habitat is open ground with sparse vegetation cover. There are several records from Vice County 1 West Cornwall, but none since 1990. The record from Tresco on the Scilly Isles has subsequently been shown to be the closely-related Clubiona pseudoneglecta. Some of the records on the map for Clubiona neglecta may represent Clubiona pseudoneglecta but without voucher specimens, it is impossible to be sure of their identity.
