Lathys humilis is widespread in England south of a line from the Mersey to the Humber. It spins its small web among leaves and branches of trees and bushes. The only record held by the Spider Recording Scheme is from Nare Head made in June 1979. However, there ERCCIS records from two tetrads at Cadson Bury (1973, the easternmost blue dot) and a garden at Angarrack (1990).
