Trochosa spinipalpis is Rare in southern England. It is very similar to the common Trochosa terricola and records cannot be accepted without a voucher specimen. Trochosa spinipalpis seems to prefer damp habitats including wet heathland and marsh. The only records from Cornwall are from Pelyn Wood and Redmoor Nature Reserves and date from the same day in May 1977. Both records need confirmation.
