Pardosa purbeckensis was considered by Roberts (1995) in his Collins Guide to be a variety of Pardosa agrestis. Most recent authors, however, consider them to be separate species. The only record for Pardosa purbeckensis from Cornwall was made in 1996 from salt marsh at Wacke Quay,Antony. The species is quite common on the coast elsewhere in Britain so should turn up in more sites in Cornwall.
