Tetragnatha pinicola is Nationally Scarce (Notable B). It is usually found in lightly wooded areas. There are several ERCCIS records, but only two in the database of the Spider Recording Scheme. Unfortunately, Tetragnatha pinicola is easily confused with the much commoner Tetragnatha extensa. While it is likely that Tetragnatha pinicola does occur in Cornwall, none of the records can be definitely accepted for the National Scheme unless they are supported by voucher specimens.
