Labulla thoracica is widely distributed in Britain and is common, mainly in shaded habitats. The only record held by the Spider Recording Scheme is from Perranporth in 1990 but there are several ERCCIS records which indicate that it is probably widespread in Cornwall. In November 2005, I found a female specimen in the coastguard lookout station at Gwennap Head (allegedly the windiest place in England).
