Centromerus serratus is Nationally Scarce (Notable B). There are a few scattered records from southern England. It is probably most abundant in deep beech litter according to the Provisional Atlas of British Spiders. There are no Cornish localities for Centromerus serratus held by the Spider Recording Scheme. However, there is an ERCCIS record from Milltown Wood, Fowey made in March 1985 by a reliable recorder. It should be looked for in deciduous woods elsewhere in Cornwall.
