Typhochrestus digitatus is a local species with scattered records throughout Britain. It is most active during the Winter months and in the South West, has only been found on the coast. Until recently in Cornwall, it was only known from Carlyon Bay near St. Austell, a record made in 1974. However, the species was found at Loe Bar in 2003.
