Pelecopsis nemoralis is uncommon in Britain
and has a distribution biased towards the north and west. There are a few scattered records from Cornwall, mostly from before 1950. The most recent SRS records are from three localities at Redmoor Nature Reserve dated May 1979. There is also an ERCCIS record from Loe Bar (as
Pelecopsis mediocris now regarded as a junior synonym of Pelecopsis nemoralioides--see below) dated 1973.
However, there has been some confusion in the literature regarding the scientific name(s) of this species (and the closely-related species
Pelecopsis nemoralioides). All specimens of Pelecopsis need to be checked by an expert. At present, the distributions of Pelecopsis nemoralis  and Pelecopsis nemoralioides are not clear in Cornwall.
