Hypselistes jacksoni is not particularly common in Britain. It is nearly always found in bogs and wet heathland. In Cornwall, Hypselistes jacksoni has only been found at Redmoor Nature Reserve near Lanlivery and Bodmin Moor. It was last recorded in 1981.
