Pocadicnemis juncea is common and widespread in southern Britain, although it appears to be rare in Cornwall. Females of this species are difficult to separate from Pocadicnemis pumila and it is possible that some of the records for that species may represent Pocadicnemis juncea. The SRS database contains only two records for Pocadicnemis juncea from Pencarrow Head, Lansallos (June 1995) and Sheviock Wood (June 1997). Female Pocadicnemis need to be carefully checked to confirm their identification.
