Hylyphantes graminicola is fairly widespread and locally common in southern Britain. It is usually found near to open water in shrubs, heather and gorse bushes. There are several records from Cornwall, most recently from the Seaton Valley in May 1996, the Scillies in June 1997 and Gorran Haven in September 2001.
