Walckenaeria acuminata is widespread and common in Cornwall but interestingly, has not been recorded from the Isles of Scilly. It is found near ground level in leaf litter, among tussocks of grass and under rocks and logs. The male is a bizarre creature with its eyes on a long turret that projects above the front of the head.
