Theonoe minutissima is an uncommon species with a pronounced northwest bias to its distribution in Britain. It is a very small spider and must have been overlooked in the past. The species lives on or near to the ground under stones and leaf litter. In Cornwall, Theonoe minutissima has only been recorded in May 1979 from Redmoor Nature Reserve near Lanlivery.
