Euryopis maculata is an uncommon species found in damp hollows in heathland. It does not spin a web but hunts for ants on the ground. It was last recorded in 1968 from Mulfra Hill north of Penzance, and from a few sites on the Lizard Peninsula, including Kynance Cove.
