Nesticus cellulanus lives exclusively in dark damp habitats such as hollow trees, caves and mines where it spins a small tangled web. There are old records from the Par area (1961) and Trelowarren Fogou (1974). It was most recently found at Tremmadock in October 2002. However, the species is sure to turn up in many of the disused mines in the region.
