Ero cambridgei is one of the 'pirate spiders' that invades the webs of other spiders and preys on them. It is sometimes found together with Ero furcata. Both species can be found in trees, low vegetation, bushes and sand dunes (e.g. at Penhale). Ero cambridgei is widespread and common in England and Wales and is clearly under recorded in Cornwall.
