Oonops pulcher is very similar in appearance to the closely-related Oonops domesticus. Both species are tiny spiders. However Oonops domesticus is found almost exclusively inside houses whereas Oonops pulcher is usually found out of doors in bird nests, under stones and under tree bark. Although there are very few records for Oonops pulcher in Cornwall, it must be under-recorded.
The differences between the two species are quite subtle and specimens should be carefully checked.
