Harpactea hombergi is widespread and common in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. It can be found in a wide variety of habitats including rotten wood, leaf litter and under stones. It sometimes occurs in houses. During the day, Harpactea hombergi resides in a silken cell (like Dysdera) and emerges at night to hunt for prey.
