Members of the genus Neotullbergia have very distinctive anal spines that bear prominent lateral projections. The structure of these spines is at present, the only way to separate UK/Eire species. In Neotullbergia ramicuspis the two anal spines are quite long with a prominent inner spine on each (Fig. 1). The outer side of each anal spine has a very weak projection. The foot does not possess an empodium and the post-antennal organ is long and thin with about 30 simple double vesicles (Fig. 2).
     There are only two specimens in the NHML collected by J. Curry from Celbridge in Ireland (date not given). The longest is 0.75 mm in length. Neotullbergia ramicuspis was described by Gisin (1953). A detailed re-description was provided by Fjellberg (1998).
