The only records for Folsomides angularis are those of Lawrence (1961) from the Burren, Ireland, and Bagnall (1939) from Whitley Bay in northeast England. Lawrence's record has no accompanying notes. However Bagnall's record is quite convincing as he describes the 5+5 ocelli, absence of ventral manubrial setae, two-toothed mucro and states that the 'angulation of the hind body viewed laterally is very marked'. There are no specimens in the NHML slide collection to support these records. In the light of the revision of Folsomides by Fjellberg (1992), it is clear that all old records for species in this genus should be checked. If Folsomides angularis sensu Fjellberg does occurs in the UK and Ireland, it is clearly a rare species.
